Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Brings back memories of Catholic High Mass
It has been more than 40 years since I listened to Gregorian chant and I had forgotten how much I loved it. When I was a young child it was still the practice of the Catholic Church to chant the entire Mass for special holy days and other occasions. I never enjoyed attending Mass "except" these. The chanting was mesmerizing and the tonality so clean. I had the same reaction when I heard this album. The organ accompaniement to these songs is understated and complementary to the vocals. Very beautiful!

Listening to this CD was indeed a very spiritual experience. It makes me yearn for the peace and tranquility of a monastary.

It was quite wonderful to find this as the monks had none for sale at the Abbey.

This is an excellent cd. The emotion present in the monks' voices, espcially in the "Salve Regina" is deeply moving and beautiful. Highly recommended for anyone who is a fan of Gregorian chant, and a great first buy for someone who just wants to know what Gregorian chant sounds like.
