This is the best game of the year (2007-2008). See the other entries for specific game play details, but there is no other game that I have played for over 6 months than the Witcher. I'm on my 8th re-play and the story has been different every time. CDPROJECTRED has made many improvements to an already wonderful game. Do not purchase this game. I did and I am sorry. It has no printed manual, and it is heavily censored. The US Version and the UK version and the German version are all censored in various ways. I am very sad to see this develper decide that we are not mature enough to enjoy the full game story and I do not therefore recomend purchasing this, and I will be returning my game copy to the publisher for a refund or redress. I've been waiting for The Witcher ever since it was in development. It took me a while to get it because it does need some high end computer hardware. Nonetheless, this is one of the first PC games that has been worthwhile to play in a very long time!

Let's list the innovations/elements in this game that make it the best RPG, probably just a bit below Baldur's Gate 2, but obviously better or at the same level as Knights of the Old Republic, Diablo 2/3, or Neverwinter Nights.
1)You can choose three paths. In true role-playing form, the choice you make at one point in the game will show its consequences several hours into gameplay later. And the choices are not that minor either.
