I heard about Lucuma when I watched Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern. The show said Lucuma is blended into milk shakes and is a flavored preferred over any other. Andrew said it has caramel-like taste. Since fresh Lucuma is not available to me I decided to give the powder a try. The powder does have a slight "powdery" taste but it doesn't taste caramel-like to me.
