I call my Mizuno Wave Creation 9's my slow shoes. They make my legs feel like lead and they're not very stabile. They felt great when I tried them on and then when I ran around the block. It wasn't until my first long run that I realized there was a problem.

I just recently got this shoe. I had been running in Nike Pegasus shoes and was constantly getting blisters especially after long runs >8 miles. This is my first pair of Mizunos. WOW! They are so comfortable. I was afraid because they are a little higher and heavier that they might be a little clunky, but they are the smoothest shoe I have ever run in. I've been running in the Mizuno Wave Creation for almost ten years now. I have sent Mizuno a lot of money over the years. I've stayed with the model through several improvements/iterations, because for me, once I've found a shoe that works for me, I tend to stick with it until it stops working. Also, honestly, I'd rather avoid all the trouble of finding a new "perfect" home for my feet.

Bought the Mizuno Wave Runner 9 shoe and the Asics Gel Nimbus 10's at the same time. I found the Asics to be the best fit for me....
Pluses:
* Designed for medium to high arches - good comfort in upper shoe area
* Material/ventilation permits good shoe breathability
* Shoe design seemingly propels you forward - very healthy heel cushioning system
