I've always shaved with electric, so all my comparisons are based off my previous electric shaver. I can't recall what model my old shaver was, but it was a lift-and-cut type shaver. I had two issues with that shaver - if I let my beard grow at all, lift-and-cut became rip-and-cut (a very painful shave) and also the trimmer stopped working. the electric razor not only recharges very quickly. it has a lot of juice and you can wash it under the sink water..however, i just use the brush that comes along with it.
