I ordered the book on the strength of The Last Lecture. This entry however is no more than a very small compilation of his professor notes on how to be a successful grad student. Its relevance to anyone else is limited.

Randolph Frederick ("Randy") Pausch (October 23, 1960 - July 25, 2008) was an American professor of computer science, human-computer interaction and design at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
He was born in Baltimore, Maryland and grew up in Columbia, Maryland.
