This book is incredibly detailed and tells you every item you can or cannot eat (including spices!). I did the diet for a little over a month, or maybe more, before my wedding in 2007. Any time I "cheated" from the plan, I loved the food I cheated with but then I felt it - my body wasn't used to processing the foods I ate; the diet was working well in getting the bad stuff out - so well that my body forgot what to do with it! If you are looking for a book to help you lose the unwanted lbs around your mid area this is the combo book set you need. Very easy to follow the directions on how to do the program. Foods are all wholesome and good for you. Not to sure about the supplements that are to be taken with the diet. I only used the foods and they worked the same I'm guessing without the supplements because I lost unwanted lbs following only the food list in the book. This is the best thing I have done for myself------EVER! In the first two weeks I lost 11 lbs. I still have a ways to go, but I feel wonderful and it's a great motivator to keep going.
